Every early spring a massive flock of grackles return to my neighborhood, one family always stays behind to nest.

Grackles are highly intelligent & are known to return to their past nests. Every March / early spring a massive flock comes to my backyard to drop off (lovingly nick named) Mr & Mrs Dread to their Maine nest in our trees. It’s a sight to be seen!!

They are said to remember & recognize people, I wonder what they’ve lovingly nick named us. 😆

They are excellent at pest 🪲 control, & I think it’s kind of cool they’ve claimed our home as a safe place to raise their babies - because they definitely take that roll seriously!
